CueDose Trouble Shooting Guide

Power & Charging Issues

Problem: The device won't turn on.

  • Plug in using the included USB-C cable and charge for at least 1 hour.
  • Make sure the cable is inserted fully and connected to a working USB power source.
  • Press the button on the front to wake the screen.
  • If the screen stays blank, try a different power source or charging cable.

Bluetooth & App Connectivity

Problem: The device won’t connect to the app.

  • iOS users: Turn on Bluetooth and allow the app to send notifications and access your calendar.
  • Android users: Turn on Bluetooth and Location Services. (Bluetooth won’t function correctly without both enabled.)
  • Make sure the device is awake - press the button once.
  • Ensure you're using the latest version of the Pill Calendar app.
  • If still not connecting, restart your phone and try again.

Important App Login Tip: If you created an account in the Pill Calendar app and are having trouble logging in (e.g. forgotten password or app glitches), we recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the app, then following this setup instead:

  • On the first screen, tick the checkbox to agree to the user agreement and privacy policy.
  • Tap the blue “Skip Registration” button at the top.

This allows you to access all features without needing to log in and helps avoid issues with password recovery or syncing errors.

Connecting More Than One CueDose Device

If you are using two CueDose devices (for example, one for AM and one for PM), please note the following:

  • Because of the way Bluetooth works, the app can only be actively connected to one CueDose device at a time
  • When you connect the second device, it may temporarily disconnect the first one
  • This is completely normal and does not affect how the alarms work

How to set up both devices

  1. Open the app and tap the second icon from the left (the My Pill Box / equipment tab)
  2. Select My Pill Box
  3. From here, you can add multiple CueDose devices
  4. Set up your AM and PM alarms for each device separately
  5. Save each reminder

What will happen once reminders are saved

  • Both CueDose devices will sound their alarms at the times you have set
  • Only one device can send push notifications to your phone or smartwatch
  • The alarms on both devices will still work even if they are not actively connected in the app

Reminders & Notifications

Problem: Reminders not going off as expected.

  • Ensure notifications are enabled for the app in your phone settings.
  • Double-check the reminder time in the app and that the device is synced.
  • Important: You must manually select each day (Mon–Sun) when setting reminders to ensure they repeat daily.
  • Time display incorrect? Don’t worry - the device will sync to your phone’s time after you set your first reminder in the app.

Understanding the Indicator Light

  • Blue flashing light: Alarm is active.
  • Blue steady light: Outer cover is open.
  • No light: Device is idle with cover closed.

Resetting CueDose

Quick Reset:

  • Hold down the button on the device for 10 seconds until the screen resets.

Factory Reset:

  1. Press and hold the button.
  2. While holding, open and close the cover three times. The device will enter Test Mode.
  3. Release the button.
  4. Open and close the cover two more times to enter System Reset.
  5. On the reset screen, press the button once to confirm.
  6. The device will now restore to factory settings.
